At the exclusive Olivia Blue Sea Resort, located in Afandou, Rhodes, a complete ceramic solution by Cerámica Mayor has been developed for the resort’s aquatic areas, strengthening the connection between architecture, landscape and the hospitality experience. This hotel and spa project demonstrates how the solutions of Mayor create spaces where design, safety and durability coexist in perfect harmony.

The different bathing areas feature the collection Tropic Aguamarina, one of the most representative proposals within the Tropic series by Cerámica Mayor. Inspired by the tones of the Aegean Sea, this collection of pool tiles enhances the brightness of the water while providing a unique visual identity throughout the project. Its C3 anti-slip paving finish and anti-slip flooring performance meet the demands of intensive use in hospitality environments, ensuring comfort and safety for guests.

The water area has been designed around an elegant skimmer pool, clad with porcelain tile for swimming pools and complemented by a carefully designed porcelain pool coping system, ensuring a seamless transition between the water, the sun deck and the resort’s outdoor areas. This visual continuity allows the harmonious integration of pools and terraces, creating outdoor spaces that are coherent, functional and aesthetically refined.

This project in Greece showcases the advantages of pool porcelain tiles and porcelain stoneware, particularly in high-end hospitality applications. The combination of Tropic Aguamarina, the technical performance of the materials from Mayor and the expertise of Cerámica Mayor results in a sophisticated porcelain swimming pool, designed to withstand the most demanding conditions without compromising beauty, safety or the exclusive character of a Mediterranean resort.
